Delete your Northy account

Your account is recoverable for 30 days after deletion. Sign in again within 30 days to reactivate it. After 30 days it is permanently deleted.

How to delete your account in the app

1. Open Northy and go to your Profile.
2. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
3. Type your full name to confirm, then enter the 6 digit code we email you.
4. Your account is turned off right away and fully deleted after 30 days.

If you cannot open the app

Email northyapp.bc@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account." We will confirm it is you and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What happens when you delete

Your account is turned off immediately. Your profile, listings, and quotes stop showing to other people, and you are signed out. After 30 days everything is permanently deleted. If you sign back in during those 30 days, you can reactivate your account and your profile comes back. Any requests or quotes that were cancelled when you deleted are not brought back.

What we remove

Your profile, your contact details (email, phone, address), the photos you uploaded, and your messages.

What we keep

Records of finished jobs, payments and receipts, and reviews stay in our system without your name on them (they show as "Deleted user"). We keep these because the other person still needs their own record of the job, and because we are required to keep certain payment records for tax and legal reasons. These records are kept in a form that no longer identifies you.
